Braces for Teens On and Off Campus in Ridgeland, MS

Can Teens With Braces Still Do Everything at School? Yes. Sports need a mouthguard, band takes a couple of weeks of adjusting, lunch takes a slightly shorter list of foods, and appointments can be scheduled around a class schedule. Nothing about a school year requires postponing treatment. The question behind the question is usually social, not logistical. Parents want to know whether their teenager will be self-conscious. Here is the practical version of what a school year with braces looks like around Ridgeland, and how the confidence part tends to play out. How Do Braces Fit Into Sports and Activities? On the field or court A properly fitted athletic mouthguard is all that is required for football, basketball, soccer,

How to Find the Right Orthodontist in Ridgeland, MS

What Should You Look For in an Orthodontist in Ridgeland, MS? Look for a specialist with orthodontic training beyond dental school, treatment options that fit your case, clear pricing before you commit, and an office you can actually get to on a weeknight. Everything else is preference. Choosing an orthodontist feels like a bigger decision than it is, mostly because the treatment lasts a year or two and the price tag looks like a used car. The good news: the criteria that matter are short, checkable, and mostly answered in one free visit. Below is how we’d suggest working through it in Ridgeland, whether you end up at Gamblin Orthodontics or somewhere else. Is an orthodontist different from a

Digital Technology in Orthodontics in Hazlehurst, MS

How Is Digital Technology Changing Orthodontic Care in Hazlehurst, MS? Digital scanning and computer-based planning have replaced putty impressions and guesswork with a 3D model of your mouth, a simulated treatment path, and appliances built from a digital file. For Hazlehurst patients the practical result is fewer appointments and fewer remakes. Orthodontics changed quietly over the last decade. The wires still do the work and biology still sets the pace, but nearly everything around the wire, the diagnosis, the planning, the appliance fabrication, moved onto a screen. Here is what that looks like from the patient chair at our Downing Street office. What Replaced the Putty Impression? A handheld intraoral scanner. It looks like an oversized electric toothbrush with

Braces in Ridgeland, MS: Comparing Treatment Options

Which Braces Option Is Right for Your Lifestyle in Ridgeland, MS? Metal braces handle the widest range of cases at the lowest cost. Ceramic braces do the same work less visibly. Clear aligners suit mild to moderate cases with consistent daily wear. Your bite narrows the list and your routine picks from what is left. Most people arrive at a consultation having already decided what they want. That is fine, and about half the time the case supports it. The other half is a conversation, because appliances are not interchangeable and the wrong pick costs months. Here is how the three options at Gamblin Orthodontics compare for adults, teens, and families around Ridgeland. What Are the Main Braces Options

Modern Braces in Hazlehurst, MS: Faster and Comfier

Are Modern Braces Really Faster and More Comfortable? Yes on comfort, partly on speed. Brackets are smaller and smoother, wires apply lighter and steadier force, and visits are spaced further apart. Total treatment time still depends on how far teeth must move, which biology controls. If your mental picture of braces comes from a yearbook photo, it is out of date. What patients at our Hazlehurst office notice first is how much less hardware there is, and how much less of the first week hurts. What Actually Changed About Braces? Smaller, smoother brackets Older brackets were bulky and had edges that irritated cheeks and lips. Modern brackets are lower profile with rounded contours, so there is less to rub

Why Clear Aligners Are Popular in Ridgeland, MS

Why Do So Many Ridgeland Patients Choose Clear Aligners? Three reasons account for nearly all of it: they are hard to notice, they come out for meals and brushing, and there are no brackets to irritate the cheeks. The tradeoff is that they only work while they are being worn. Aligners went from novelty to mainstream in about fifteen years. At our Ridgeland office they are now one of the most requested options among adults and older teens. Here is an honest look at what earns the popularity and where the enthusiasm outruns the evidence. What Are Clear Aligners and How Do They Work? A clear aligner is a thin, custom-made tray that fits over your teeth. Each tray

Clear Aligners in 2026: What Hazlehurst Patients Know

What Should Hazlehurst Patients Know About Clear Aligners in 2026? Aligners now treat a wider range of cases than they did five years ago, thanks to better attachments and digital planning. What has not changed: they still require 20 to 22 hours of daily wear, and they still need a supervising orthodontist. Patients at our Downing Street office ask about aligners nearly every week. This is what is genuinely different in 2026, and what has stayed exactly the same no matter what an ad says. What Has Improved About Aligner Treatment? The planning is more precise Treatment starts with a 3D digital scan instead of putty impressions, and every movement is sequenced digitally before the first tray is made.

When Should Kids Get Braces? A Ridgeland, MS Guide

When Should Kids Get Braces in Ridgeland, MS? Most children start braces between ages 10 and 14, once enough permanent teeth have come in. The first orthodontic check-up should happen much earlier, around age 7, so problems that are easier to guide than to fix later get caught in time. Those two ages get confused constantly. Age 7 is when someone should look. Ages 10 to 14 is when most kids actually get braces. A minority need something earlier, and this guide explains how to tell which group your child is in. Why Age 7 for the First Visit? By about 7, a child usually has a mix of baby and permanent teeth, and the first molars and incisors

Why Age 7 for a First Orthodontic Visit in Hazlehurst

Why Is Age 7 Still the Recommended Age for a First Orthodontic Check-Up? At 7, a child has enough permanent teeth for an orthodontist to read how the bite and jaws are developing, while both are still growing enough to be guided. The recommendation is about the growth window, not about starting braces. The American Association of Orthodontists has held this recommendation for years, and nothing about newer technology changes it. Scanners and digital planning improved how we treat; they did not change when a jaw stops growing. What Can an Orthodontist See at Age 7? Around this age the first permanent molars and front incisors have usually come in. Those teeth establish the back bite and show how

Incredible Company. My practice has doubled in the past 2 years because of them. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontic marketing company.
Sherman and Briscoe O.
We've been working with HIP Creative for marketing and practice consulting, and they've been an invaluable partner for Sherman and Briscoe Orthodontics. Their team (Lily, Colin, Gretchen, MariAnn, Rachel and many more!) has done an excellent job tailoring their framework to meet our specific needs. From paid digital media and digital brand management to team training, website development, and SEO management, every service has been handled with professionalism and attention to detail. They understand the orthodontic space and our local market, and they’ve helped us grow with confidence and clarity. Highly recommend them to any practice looking for a strategic and adaptable partner.

Our experience with HIP has been superb. Professional, knowledgeable, terrific communication and they have demonstrated sincere care each step of the way. They have helped us reconsider what is possible, and have been a great partner in helping us get there. Top notch!
Tami P.
With the help of HIP we have increased our new patient leads tremendously!! I love walking into the office in the mornings, like this morning, and starting our day with 6 or more leads sitting in the queue, just waiting to be called and scheduled for a new patient exam!! They, the HIP company, has followed up and met with us to help make sure we are trained and "working" their system to our ut-most advantage! We have enjoyed the relationship with everyone at HIP and all they have helped us to learn! With their help.... it's been easy to keep the leads coming in!!! Thank you HIP!!!
Carter T.
Hip Creative is hands down the best marketing firm in the orthodontic industry. There are some other good ones, but Hip is more than a marketing firm. They are a real growth partner and really as much a business consultant as they are a marketing firm. The key to growing an ortho practice is not just good SEO and creating more new leads....the key is structuring your business and your team and training your team to handle and field those new leads and follow up with them properly so they aren't just "bad leads" and so they turn into case starts rather than into "bad leads." Hip taught our practice how to sturucture our team, our financing, how to answer the phones...they structured for us a full on overhaul of our business, and they helped us to actually become a real business. The black and yellow books that Luke put out through Hip are simple, which is great:), and incredible at helping doctors to change their mindset and to be open minded enough to make the changes internally within their practices that are required to get the results that Hip can get if you obey and follow their system. The key to gowth is implementation and that starts with mindset change. HIP will coach you from mindset change through implentation. Hip is not a magic genie that you pay and get practice growth. They are real growth partner that can advise you form mindset to implementation to real growth to scaling if you want. We doubled our already solid practice overnight literally by just relinquishing control and doing what Hip said to do. It's been a fun 2 years with Hip, and I feel like we are just getting started.
Greg E.
Great experience working with HIP. Awesome leadership with Luke and Justin. Harrison is a wizard as well. They give you the playbook on how to not only get leads but to convert those leads. They care about improving your overall patient experience, which will lead to an improvement of your whole marketing/business plan. Highly recommend.
Brad J.
These guys are ON IT!!! Everyone at HIP is super helpful and impossibly responsive. They must live with their phones or laptops taped to their bodies because they always get back quickly. They have helped us achieve a record year for starts/production/collections. We can't wait to see how much farther we can go with them. Definitely highly recommend... just not to any other practices in my area.
Geneseo Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry G.
I can’t begin to say enough good things about HIP Creative. From the very first meeting with Harrison, I knew this was the crew that would take my practice to the next level, and they did. They have been beyond supportive and helpful every step of the way from website design to social media and patient acquisition. Every team member has gone above and beyond with everything we have asked of them. I can’t thank you enough and look forward to our growth together. I will be happy to talk to any orthodontist about my experience, please feel free to contact me.
